At Donnelly Custom Manufacturing, we strive to fulfill on a deceivingly simple promise: "To Deliver Good Products On Time." With our focus on short-run manufacturing, delivering good products on time takes vigilance, hard work and constant evolution.

We ask our customers, "What manufacturing processes would you eliminate if someone else would do them for you?" The answers enable us to add services our customers will value. As a result, we continue to expand our capabilities to meet the changing needs of our customers.

For example, a customer came to us with a problem they were having with voids in a thick-walled part. Because the product was an electro-static paint spray gun, any void represents an unacceptable safety hazard and the customer was experiencing a 50% fallout ratio.

Donnelly recommended several actions that resulted in greatly improved quality and increased product durability. First, in-mold transducers were installed to monitor and control variation of in-mold cavity pressure for each part during production. Donnelly also purchased a North Star Imaging 80kV Microfocus X-ray machine to validate each part right after molding. This drastically reduced the time required to confirm that each part met acceptable standards. Not only is the customer's problem solved, the X-ray equipment is now available to be used for other customer needs and applications.
