Sam Wagner, Director of Advanced Manufacturing
Sam joined Donnelly in October 2004, bringing a breadth of manufacturing, managerial and business experience to Donnelly. Sam leads the identification, assessment and implementation of advanced technologies and process improvements that continue to adapt and advance our short-run expertise.
Prior to joining Donnelly, Sam worked for several manufacturing companies in west-central Minnesota. At Superior Industries, a conveying-equipment manufacturer in Morris, he served as production manager. Previously, Sam was president and general manager of Chassis Liner Corp., a manufacturer and direct marketer of automotive collision-repair equipment in Alexandria. And at Palmer Industries/Gardner Bender, an Alexandria company that designs and manufactures electrical products, Sam served first as plant manager and then as business unit manager.
With the unique experience and perspective he brings to the team, Sam enjoys the opportunity to focus his energies on improving on Donnelly’s already well-developed and leading processes. His experience includes a significant focus on new technologies and lean manufacturing practices that elevate performance and competitiveness. He has been closely involved with implementations of information technologies, lean manufacturing techniques, quality systems and automation.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering management from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University.
