Donnelly Custom Manufacturing Receives Distinguished Economic Partner Award

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – September 25, 2006 – The Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission (AAEDC) has honored Donnelly Custom Manufacturing with the Distinguished Economic Development Partner Award.

The award recognizes Donnelly as a vital community member because of its creation of jobs, wages and wealth.

According to Ron Kirscht, president of Donnelly, the key to the company’s growth and success is the “never-ending commitment by the employees and founder, Stan Donnelly, to be the best short-run molder in the plastics industry.” Kirscht explains “our goal is not only to serve our OEM customers in short run injection molding with terrific service, but also play a positive and vital role in the our community and the surrounding area.” He notes that the employees and management leadership of Donnelly are constantly collaborating to reshape their business processes to assure that they remain the best choice for their customers.

Mayor H. Dan Ness of Alexandria, AAEDC president, Jason Murray and Douglas County Commissioner, Dan Olson, and Alexandria Technical College president, Kevin Kopischke, presented the award. The event was attended by Donnelly employees as well as 40 other elected officials, community leaders and award supporters at Donnelly’s facility in Alexandria, Minn. The celebration concluded with a facility tour lead by Donnelly employees.

The “Distinguished Economic Development Partner” award was developed as a way to acknowledge and the celebrate accomplishments of local companies who have invested in the community through the creation of jobs, wages and wealth.
