Ron Kirscht, President
Ron
joined Donnelly in August of 1991 as the Vice President of Operations
and was named President in June of 2000. Ron's leadership has been instrumental
in shaping a young company into a $20 million company.
Ron led the implementation of critical business processes, including
a management information system, formalized training program, ISO certified
Quality System, and safety and human resource functions. Ron also pioneered
the implementation of new business thinking, such as the theory of constraints
management (High Velocity Management), the Manufacturing War Room, and
the discipline of market leadership.
Prior to joining Donnelly, Ron was the Corporate Controller at Plastech
Corporation, a $60 million injection molder of thermoplastics. Ron also
worked in inventory and cost accounting management at Sandoz Nutrition
(now Novartis) for four years and the Auditing Services Group at the Minneapolis
Office of Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) for three
years.
Ron cites his Plastech experience as giving him opportunity to see what
Donnelly could aspire to and the trouble areas it should avoid. He credits
his leadership team's diverse and complimentary experiences, commitment
to the company's strategy, trust in each other and high level of accountability
for Donnelly's success.
Ron graduated with honors from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelors
degree in Accounting. He successfully passed the CPA (certified public
accountant) exam in 1982, and the CMA (certified management accountant)
exam in 1987.
