DONNELLY WELCOMES NEW QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – Donnelly Custom Manufacturing Company today announced the addition of Joel Kangas as its new Quality Assurance Manager.

Kangas has a strong background in plastic injection molding quality management from his work at several other molding companies. Past positions include quality manager at Nicolette Plastics, Mountain, Wis., and other quality positions at Newell/Rubbermaid, Freeport, Ill., and PCD, Peabody, Mass.

“Part of embodying how shot run is done is not only fast mold change-overs and reliable processes but also a never-ending commitment to quality,” said Ron Kirscht, president of Donnelly. “Joel’s past experience in custom injection molding enhances our continuous drive for high-quality performance in manufacturing.”

Kangas’ responsibilities include working with his direct reports in the Quality Assurance function, overseeing the Quality Management System, managing the corrective action process, performing supplier assessments and assisting in the manufacturing launch process.

“Donnelly is the perfect fit for my custom injection molding background and has a great customer base,” said Kangas. “I am looking forward to working with the rest of the team at Donnelly on process quality initiatives and our growth opportunities.”

Kangas has a master’s degree in Quality Management Systems from Anna Maria College in Massachusetts and has been a member of the American Society for Quality for 15 year.
