Jerry Bienias, Vice President of Finance & Technical Operations
Jerry joined Donnelly in September 1993 and is responsible for all accounting,
administrative and systems-related functions. He also oversees plant support
areas, including quality control, the tool room, maintenance and manufacturing
engineering.
Prior to joining Donnelly, Jerry spent three years in Ernst and Young's
Process Improvement Consulting Practice. There he worked in a diverse
range of industries, from airlines to metal stamping. His project experience
included developing manufacturing systems, improving process flows, implementing
activity-based management techniques and defining new markets. He also
worked for six years at Sandoz Nutrition (now Novartis) as an inventory
accountant and cost accounting supervisor.
Despite never setting foot in a plastics company until he joined Donnelly,
Jerry brings a wealth of experience in how world-class companies operate.
He is a firm believer in taking a process versus departmental approach
to analyzing business issues. His project management skills were essential
in overseeing Donnelly's ERP system conversion to IQMS's Enterprise IQ
system in the Fall of 2001.
Jerry graduated Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul,
MN with a BS in Finance, where he was also in the National Economics Honor
Society. He successfully passed the CMA exam in 1987.
