Tour of Manufacturing represents opportunity for community members to learn about the industry
Alexandria, MN (October 4, 2016) – On October 8, Donnelly Custom Manufacturing Company will join Alexandria-area manufacturers in opening their doors to the public as part of the 2016 Tour of Manufacturing.
Donnelly Custom Manufacturing is inviting guests of all ages to participate in a self-guided tour through their plant located at 105 Donovan Drive in Alexandria, Minn. Stations along the tour will provide visitors with the opportunity to see Donnelly’s operations firsthand, while providing the opportunity to see their sophisticated, innovative manufacturing processes. The tour takes place on Saturday, October 8 from 9 a.m. to noon.
As a short-run injection molder, we offer a unique perspective on the possibilities within manufacturing and we’re excited to share our passion for manufacturing with the Alexandria community
“In our third time of participating, we are excited to meet with the community, with our employees’ families, and individuals who may be interested in careers in manufacturing to show how we are setting standards in an industry that is crucial to our economy.”
The event coincides with Manufacturing Day on October 7 – a day that celebrates manufacturing in the United States to inspire future generations of skilled manufacturing workers. For Donnelly, who has been in Alexandria since its founding in 1984, this also represents a chance to connect with a community that has been important to its lasting success.
In further celebration of manufacturing in Minnesota, Ron Kirscht will also join a panel of Minnesota-based manufacturing leaders as part of Enterprise Minnesota’s 2016 Statewide Manufacturing Peer Council. The event, on October 10 in Brooklyn Park, will provide guests with the opportunity to learn more from leading industry experts. The Statewide Manufacturing CEO Council will focus on growing your enterprise, with experts sharing their ideas on how to bring together strategy, talent, continuous improvement and quality management systems for business success.
Additional panelists include: Steve Palmer of North Central Door, Sarah Richards of Jones Metal Inc., John Meyer of J&B Group, Mary Connor of Enterprise Minnesota and Greg Langfield of Enterprise Minnesota.
